Environmentally respectful because it ensures that the collection of wood products takes place in conditions that do not alter biodiversity and respect ecological processes.
Socially useful because it helps both forest region populations and society as a whole to enjoy long-term benefits.
Economically sustainable because all operations concerning forests are managed with the goal of being profitable but not detrimental to resources and ecosystems.
The FSC® certification is an international award, voluntarily requested by companies and organizations and assessed by credited third parties, for forest areas and wood and non-wood products coming from certified forests.
Even if it does not operate in the field of direct production or marketing of wood, Zintek does use wood products to build specific structures such as the façade and roofing packages offered with its zinc-titanium rolled products.
Its attention to environmental respect led the company to request and obtain the FSC® certification in the form known as “Chain of Custody“, COC, for companies that process and/or market forest-derived products.
The COC guarantees the traceability of materials coming from FSC®-certified forests, and is critical for the marketing of certified products.
In order to place the FSC® logo on products made with wood from certified forests, all wood processing and handling phases need to be checked and identified, from the original source to the final use.
Thanks to this certification, Zintek can guarantee the provenience of the wood it uses, thus showing customers and partners its active contribution to a responsible form of forest management.
