Sheet metal workers’ vital role in the building process means they need to stay up to date with the latest construction techniques.
From the Tinsmithery School to the Zintek Academy
Zintek has always placed great emphasis on sheet metal workers’ professional development. It all began with the founding of the Tinsmithery School, which for many years was one of the leading training centres for professionals from across Italy. The school then evolved into the Zintek Academy, through which Zintek continues to invest in skills relating to construction systems through a series of highly specialized training courses.
Courses
The Zintek Academy offers training and professional development courses for sheet metal workers, site managers, and business representatives on a range of topics, including metal building envelope design (with construction detailing); roof construction and its various functional layers; roof cladding with seamed joints; and accessory installation.
Certification
The Zintek Academy also aims to boost the formal recognition of sheet metal workers’ professional skills. It is the only Italian organization to have established certified courses leading to an exam and Accredia-recognized sheet metal working certification.
Useful Tools
In addition to training courses, Zintek provides sheet metal workers with unique and exclusive tools. Among these is the treatise Zinc-titanium in architecture, the most comprehensive resource for designing, creating, and installing zinc-titanium roofing and façades.
In over 460 pages, the volume presents innovative solutions, technical drawings, and in-depth analysis of metal’s value in building envelopes, illustrating all processing phases, from construction drawings to detail implementation, including on-site photos of individual elements with examples, photographs, graphs, and tables.
National Sheet Metal Workers’ Conference
We are delighted to announce that Zintek is a partner of the first National Sheet Metal Workers’ Conference, a two-day event taking place on 5-6 December 2024, organized by PILE in collaboration with Virginia Gambino Editore.
